Vertical Gate Filter (VGF) Serves as a full-length, full-width "baffle" between
hearth and open well in most aluminum melting and/or holding furnaces.
Provides thermal conductivity, high strength, long life - one to
two months. Easily installed and available in rectangles, squares,
discs - straight sided or tapered. Now available with or without
clamps. |

Stalk Tube Filters (STF) Provide filtered metal every cycle
in low-pressure casting of wheels and other high-volume, high-integrity
automotive castings. Protect cast iron and fused silica stalk tubes
from rapid degradation. Available as plugs, disks, or sleeves in many
sizes. Easily installed with Metaullics Frakset cement. May be used
with high performance ceramic stalk tubes as well. |

Metaullics Box Filters (MBF) Provides a thermally conductive filtering "box" to
accomodate manual or automatic manual or automatic ladling. Available
in a variety of shapes and sizes to fit the vessel and the pouring
scheme. Fits dip-out wells in reverberatory furnaces, crucible and
pot furnaces, diecasting holding/casting furnaces. Full surface area
for filtration provides greater quality through finer filtration, and
extended filter life. Filter media is durable, facilitating handling,
installation, and intermittent cleaning (with subsequent rejuvenation)
by careful scraping. No material degradation or corrosion of the filter
during long-term exposure in all common aluminum casting alloys. |

Filter Pump Filters metal directly during transfer between furnaces
or filling ladles. Can be positioned in open well areas as small as
18" x 18" (457 mm x 457 mm). Prevents ingestion of surface dross or bottom sludge, as
occurs with lip-pour method. Available in two models. Pouring rates
to 3000 lbs/min (1362 kg/min). Easy filter installation, with Metaullics
Frakset cement, when changeout is required. Filter increases pump life,
too!
